Hey guys,

Looking for some help. I'm looking into buying a gaming PC to run stuff like EVE Online, Starcraft II, Diablo 3. Understandably with a budget, it's difficult to get something that will run this all on high, but if possible, I'm willing to spend up to $1000 for a computer that is effectively capable of running this stuff. But once more, if possible, try to keep it around $700 - $800.

Your help is much appreciated!

Thank you.

Maybe something like this:

CPU and RAM: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?Item...
Motherboard: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681...
GPU: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681...
HDD: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1682...
Optical: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1682...
Chasis: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681...
PSU: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681...

After shipping and taxes, this totals 849.58 CAD

Any of these parts could be swapped out for something you like better. You could throw an extra few bucks into a faster gpu such as a 5850 or 5870, or nvidia if you prefer. There is also room for a small SSD boot drive if you like.

Ah, that's awesome. Thank you very much. Now, I've heard from a couple people who say that Quad-core causes a lot of crashes and compatibility issues. And therefore a Dual-core setup is better with regards to that. Is that true?

Thanks for all of your effort on pasting that list. Much appreciated.

I've never heard of a quad core processor causing crashes and compatibility issues. Generally if cores aren't needed, they aren't used.
