System specs:
ASUS P5B Motherboard
P4 3.4 GHZ
2GB RAM
Western Digital WD2500KS 250GB SATA HD
GEFORCE 7600 GS

I have a computer that was at first saying no boot device so I changed a setting in the bios, sata mode i switched from enhanced to compatible. That fixed the problem but I still got the error in compatible mode as well and im in enhanced mode right now and its working fine. Also today i got the error from windows " missing system files c:/windows/system "run repair from xp cd". So I got into windows repair and without doing anything rebooted to look at the error message again to see what file to replace. After reboot i let it try to boot into xp and it did. Another time i rebooted the video was in vga mode and windows said my sound driver software needed to be reinstalled. It seems every time I reboot this machine I get an error message. Is there something I need replace or reconfigure? Thanks.

I rebooted again and it was killing and restarting explorer.exe every few seconds or when I tried to do something in one case. It also killed google chrome and didn't restart it. Could it be my CMOS battery?

I replaced the CMOS battery and I haven't had any problems since.
