So I'm going to buy 8Gb of Memory because I'm selling my 4gb to my friend. I just wanted something good to overclock my system. The memory I'm using currently is running fine but I just wanted a bit extra.

My Current memory is G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) 7-8-7-24-2N

My motherboard is ASUS P7P55D-E LGA 1156 Intel P55 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Budget would be $65 the lower the better though.

Solution
Some applications benefit greatly from better RAM. Gaming is not included in those and I don't recall any except for compression/decompression right now but a quick Google search should give you a more complete list.

The set suggested by itzdanielp should have similar performance at stock but won't overclock nearly as much. If you intend to overclock then my kit is great but if not then its slightly overpriced.

For stock settings of DDR3 1600 9-9-9-24 (the best price/performance ration overclock is DDR3 1600) this is the best priced quality kit at $44.99. Both kits being 8GB 2x4GB kits the speed/quality is the only important difference besides price when overclocked...

Basically, the first kit is $60 for a huge overclock and the second is $45 for a moderate overclock. DDR3-1600 is the only overclock speed that provides a good performance jump over standard DDR3 1333 and is priced the same as DDR3 1333 so the standard modules are pretty much worthless for new systems.

Solution
Having higher performance RAM effects some applications greatly and some have no noticeable benefit. Compression/decompression times improve greatly with better RAM but gaming sees no difference from faster system memory (unlike GPU memory bandwidth which every little bit counts).
