    The Core i7-875K is unlocked so it is generally easier to overclock. It also has hyper-threading so it can basically imitate an 8 core CPU while only having 4 actual cores. But any performance boost will be dependent on how much "headroom" each particular core has to put it in a very simplistic way.

    Games do not use more than 3 cores at the moment; therefore hyper-threading yields no performance increase over a CPU w/o hyper-threading.
  2. Is this for gaming? If so you're spending way too much on the CPU and not enough on the GPU.

    Whatever you do, that ram is terrible. is much better and less expensive to boot.
  3. Get G.SKILL RAM with a CAS Latency of 7, no higher

    Also instead of getting that CPU, get a better GPU
