I got my gaming computer about a month ago but never created an image of my hard drive in case anything happens. I downloaded a bunch of games so my question is can I create an image that excludes all the games currently downloaded?

The purpose of an image is to create an exact duplicate of a hard drive making relatively quick replication to a new drive possible. So, the answer is no. I don't know of any software that can identify removal of install programs for exclusion in a backup either. Specific drives, data, date ranges of data - yes.

Maybe someone else will offer up a solution.

You could use some backup software to make a backup, so that it could make sure your data is safe enough, I find a latest free bakup software from AOMEI Tech,I've used their partition management program and it's great! Also free for personal and business use.
