My budget is about rs 40000
And i want a quad core(or hexa if possible...lolz), a dx11 gpu (ati 5770, gts 450 or gtx460), need a 22" monitor(supporting 1920x1080 res.), a min of 2 gb ddr3-1333 mhz ram, 500 gb hard disk, and a good cabinet (preferrably cm)

Can anyone pls tell me the best configs. The main purpose of the system would be gaming and casual movies.....
Pls someone, help...!?

If u have needs outside gaming such as

a. Encoding
b. Rendering
c. Compiling
d. Linux based workstation functions
e. Video/Image editing

then yes an X6 would make perfect sense else perhaps just the

Bro,
Your config is damn good..
Can you please tell me the price of each components you've mentioned please..
Whats this nvidia physx technology? Does anyone mind it when buying a gpu?
Which gpu would be better? Gtx 460 or a 5850...?
Will the total price of ur config fall in my budget of rs 40000??

I guess 955be costs approx. 8k and whats the cost of Ati 5850??
Will it all suit my budget???
Actually, i'm a fan of amd, but my friends say silly things abt amd. And one such a thing is that its only for nvidia gpu's that u get physx... Is it true?? I'm a n00b, so pls help nd advice bro

Assuming u are paying a certain % premium over prices off Egg USA a basic starting template and no it does not mean u can't mix AMD + Nvidia either @@

Your budget is quite good buddy but if you want a decent gaming PC you can't go for the GTX460 you know, it is quite costly. I say you go for GTS450. It's a decent one and will give you quite a bit of satisfaction. It is a little slower than GTX 460 but much cheaper. See for yourself:

http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/video_lookup.php?cpu=GeForce+GTS+450

Since you live in India just like me, things will be a lot more costly in our country than USA. Here's what I think will be a good PC for you:

Intel i5-760 Processor - Rs. 10, 000
Intel Motherboard (DH55TC) - Rs. 4900
4 GB RAM Rs. 5000
500 GB HDD - Rs. 1900
GTS450 (1GB) - Rs. 8000
LG 22X DVD RW Sata Drive - Rs. 1200
LG 20" LED Monitor - Rs. 7800
iBall ThunderBolt Cabinet - Rs. 3200

Don't know if it becomes 40, 000 but it's quite around that amount. It will a good PC for gaming since my computer too has similar configuration but was quite costly. Since you're not buying any speakers, keyboards etc, it will function quite well. Hope, this helped.

Thank you bro
So, followin your advices, i decided to go for 955be+ati 5850
And i guess 5850 more powerful than gtx 460 right??
And i'm not interested in much overclockin...so after market coolers not needed, right?

Well, that will be quite good, and since you prefer AMD go for it. I'm not an enemy of AMD actually, but the thing is that I mostly use Nvidia and Intel products and that's why know only about the performance of these products. AMD is not a bad company really, as most people in our country think. My cousin has an AMD PC of the same price as mine and it sometimes runs even better than my PC. The only issue he has is the heat problem but that was solved quite easily by using a good cooler.

1. Yes
2. No OCing ya stock cooler is fine
You are welcomed :D

I'm not sure if it will fit in your budget but you might have to make adjustments. I think AOC might be better but Dell is not bad either. Have no opinions about that, sorry. Why don't yo go to this website and check the prices. You can get a good idea about the pricing.
