Is it possible to run 3 GTX 480's and a 9800 GT for deticated PhysX on a 3 way SLI Classified MoBo?

Which mobo? I think the classifieds are 3-way SLI plus physx in a fourth slot...

I'm almost 100 percent sure you can, however I don't see the point. If you have a classified motherboard I'm going to assume you have SLI (and are not trying some wierd CF hack), and if you have three way sli, I don't think you need a dedicated physx card.

I have the 3 way SLI Classified Mobo and 3 GTX 480's. I have an extra 9800 GT so I just wanted to put it to work? so you think it will work?

I don't see why it wouldn't, but I don't think you will see much of an inprovement, if an improvement at all, to be honest.

Run a benchmark that uses physx with your current setup.
Put it in, set physx to that GPU, and run the same benchmark, see if you're happy with the result.

Can't hurt to try.
