So last week my ATX blew up and fried my mobo and i had my pc for like 3 years so i wasnt so sad, it needed upgrading anyway but atm im low on cash and wanting to build a little value pc to keep me going for the time being.. Wondering if i list what im planning to buy if you guys could help me out tell me if its all compatible or if i should go for something else:

Mobo: MSI 870-C45 AMD 870 Socket AM3

CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 630 or 635

GPU: Sapphire HD 5670 1GB GDDR5

4gb DDR3 1600MHz HyperX Blu Memory Kit CL9 1.65V
Ill be getting a cheap 700w PSU
I could wait and just get a decent pc but i cant live without one so this will do.

Hello, that choice looks pretty good. Though don't go for a cheap 700W PSU, always get quality ones. You PC could run happily on a quality 350W PSU.

I'm not sure how much your paying for the 5670 but they look to be worth around $100. You can get a 5770 for only $125 and this will be tons of performance for you for ages. Here it is:

I'm not sure of the price of that RAM but I would prefer some 1333MHz stuff for only like $57 from newegg. Here are some mushkins:

Hope that helps.

the GPU costs £85.25 and the ram £59.92 im not sure if the site you linked ships to the uk but the site im using the 1600mhz 4gb is £59 and the 1333mhz £57 so ill probably just spend an extra 2 pound and as for the 5770 ive decided to go for that instead of the 5670
