  1. What are your needs? Do you plan on gaming if so what resolution do you play at and what kind of quality do you want for those games. Also make sure your PSU is adequate for the graphics cards.

Regardless at the 125ish dollar rage this 5770 would be a good choice, if you can live with the MIR.

If not you could get a 5750.

YOU NEED MORE RAM ! get a lesser card 5750 instead of 5770 and buy more ram for your computer.
  3. The GTX 260 is a fine card in that price range, but it would depend on your PSU.
  4. Upgrading your video card with that low of ram won't do *** for an upgrade bud.'

    Sorry that's the truth.
  5. 5670 of those but a 5750 would be in your price rane and its a better card. and as said upgrade to more ram otherwise you'll be bottlenecked there
  6. my confg. is
C2D E8400 3.0 Ghz, 1Gb Ram (can go for another 2Gb), PSU 450 W 2X 4 pins connector, OS Windows XP SP3, GPU NVdia 6600 My Resolution is 1280 X 1024 on a 17" monotor, and wanna play games like: nfs shift, gta 4, far cry 2, etc.
    on good frame rates
  7. at that rez a ati 5750 of a nvidia gts 250 is more than enough.gtx 260 wipes the floor with all those cards but it really isnt necessary at 1280 1024 unless u want more than 100fps in ur games

....But eventually your going to want to replace that 17" monitor with a nice 22-24", so thinking about the future isn't a bad idea either.

The single most gratifying computer upgrade you can make is a big fat monitor. It makes such a BIG difference. Spend a little more and get the 5770.

This one is a mad overclocker.

$139 after rebate and a free game.

Agreed moving to 22" or 24" from a 17" is just somehow gratifying and when when friends. They want one
