BSOD after Win XP install

Hey,

Thanks for reading.

Just got a used Lenovo G530 laptop.

This link looks right for the specs based on the model number sticker:

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1683...

Ram chips (according to Memtest86+) are:

slot 1 : 2048 MB DDR2-333 - Hynix Semiconductor HMP125S6EFR8C-Y5
slot 2 : 1024 MB DDR2-333 - Kingston 9905293-040.A00LF

settings: RAM : 332 MHz (DDR665) / CAS : 5-5-5-15 / Dual Channel

It had XP on it, and seemed to be running fine, but I wanted to start over.

So I booted from Win XP sp2 disk. Wiped the partition, quick formatted, NTFS.

Couldn't reinstall, so I switch the BIOS option from AHCI to IDE. Started the XP install.

Several files "couldn't write" so i "retried" until they all wrote.

Install completed as per usual then boom, BSOD.

*** STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF78A6524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

After reading, I've tried:

-The HDD manufacturers diagnostic tool booted from a USB key in DOS - no errors
-switching to and from ACHI to IDE
-reseating the RAM and blowing out the contacts (male and female) by mouth
-Spinrite HDD utility diagnostics from bootable CD - no errors
-Memtest86+ off a USB key in DOS - no errors

Is there anything else I should try before reinstalling again?
