I am currently building a pc that will be used to run FL Studio 9. I noticed that FL Studio can take over an entire sound card. I would like to buy a second card with the hope that I can use it to enable audio for my other applications while I am running FL Studio. Does this idea make sense? If so what sound card would you recommend?
Does FL studio allow you to manually select what sound device to use?
Windows, by default, will only allow one soundcard to be used at any one time. However, if an application allows you to manually select a sound output device, you can choose a device other then whatever windows is set to use, giving the ability to allow two different audio outputs at one time.
