Hard drive not recognized

Hello forum,

I recently built my first system, and everything has been going smoothly up until now. I installed windows on a SSD, and then plugged in my 500gb WD5003azax hard drive, which is recognized by my motherboard and the windows device manager, and says it has drivers installed, but does not show up in the hard drives section of "my computer". I checked to see if it says the drivers are installed, and it does, but they say "32", in them, not 64, and I have a 64 bit operating system. Any suggestions?

  1. you have to go under windows disk management under windows system. let windows put a partion on the drive and make it active and have a drive letter.
