More about drivers missing frome hard drive install windows
  1. You have to go into BIOS Setup first to change a setting:

In BIOS Setup, under the "Main" section, go to IDE Configuration and change the SATA Mode from IDE to AHCI

Then "Save to CMOS and Exit" (<F10>)
  2. with hp drivers make sure you download them then install them or copy them to a usb stick if needed. if windows install needs them you just plug in the usb stick or cd.

  7. In some instances, the windows installer does not recognize the .exe files as drivers. In this case, you have to use a 3rd party app like 7zip to remove the .inf files and copy those to the usb drive.
