Should I get this mobo?

Hello. First post here. Just need more feedback from you guys on this mobo I want to buy. I am having problems with my Asus M3A78-Cm.

I don't know if there is a difference from the thunderbolt version. Let me know if there is.

Here is my Processor and Video card just in case you find a different board that can support it that is optimal.
Phenom II x4 970
with a Nvidia GTX570

What kind of problems are you having? If it's a ram issue, then you want to check your ram with memtest and be sure it's on the new board's qvl listing. Asus is sometimes more picky about ram; that's why I stopped using their boards.

Well I think something got damaged a long time ago. It has fried my ATI Radeon 4870X2 4 times. And it took 5 or 6 tires to get my 2x WD 7200rpm 640gb to Raid-0 I have put the HDD in another computer and ran a Disk Mark and Safe guard test. It passed just fine. The other computer has weaker stats then my computer. And a simular Asus board as well.

Before spending so much money, I would still test your ram and be sure it's compatable with the asus sabertooth. And if the new board isn't am3+ compatable, then I would get something else. Amd promises desktop bulldozers before the end of the year.

Oh I am buying new RAM I am using DDR2 so the new Mobo will need this.

It is on the qvl list, so I know I won't have a problem.

I am specifically buying AM3+ just as personal preference.

You should be fine. I use ripjaws in one of my systems, and it runs smoothly. I just wish my sandforce controller would work with my 790gx board in achi mode.

What are the bulldozers? Is that a new board coming out?

Bulldozer is the next generation of amd cpus. They were just released for servers and have up to 12 cores; don't know much about the desktop versions but amd promised them in the 4th quarter of this year.
