Crossfire or sli.....?

i keep seeing motherboards that support crossfire but not sli...i would really like to know what the difference is ...its been buggin me for a while..thanks

Crossfire is dual or multi Ati cards and SLi is dual or multi Nvidia cards.

essentially it is the same thing, you can install and link together more than one graphics cards to enable faster gaming. However to be able to utilize SLI you'll need a motherboard with a non-Intel chipset unless you go for the X58, I think.
