More about whats difference 5970
  1. Would help if you specified the manufacturer, we can't always be expected to google them. I'm feeling lazy today.
  2. I can tell just by looking at the models that they are both Sapphire models. I'm going to guess that they both have 2GBs per GPU. You should be able to CF them together just fine. Any 5970 should CF with any other 5970.
  3. #1 SAPPHIRE 100280-4GSR Radeon HD 5970 (Hemlock) 4GB 512 (256 x 2)-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card w/ Eyefinity

    #2 SAPPHIRE 100280-4GBB Radeon HD 5970 (Hemlock) 4GB 512 (256 x 2)-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card w/ Eyefinity

the only noticable difference is the pcie one is 2.0 and the other is 2.1, i think you can xfire tham even if the clock speeds are different it will automatically adjust it to the slower one

for more reference check the link below
  4. So should I go with that one or get the exact one to have a match will I see a difference at all?
  5. It doesn't matter, Same model = 100% compatibility, different model ='s 99.999% compatability.

I'm guessing the difference is probably just down to a few design revisions, not much but enough.

seeing as there's no bonus game's I'd say go for the exact same model
  6. If I can find havnt been able to if any one knows where else to look please let me know I tried eBay and newegg thanks
  7. Just pre/back-order the card VIA newegg.
  8. Can't it doest show up anymore to do that
  9. Another question is there 2 diff 100280-4gsr's a pci 2.1 and a 2.0? I don't really know what one I have how do I check that if I don't have it installed yet? I bought the sapphire 5970 100280-4gsr with the call of duty and dirt game bundle
  10. is there 2 diff ones? anyone
  11. On a PCIe 2.0 board it won't make any difference. It will drop down to PCIe 2.0 anyways. If you have an older PCIe 1.0 board you could have some compatibility issues. The 2.0 card should be bought if thats the case. Other then that, it makes no difference.
  12. I have an asus extreme 3 motherboard
  13. Would I be able to get a sapphire toxic 4gb card with my card and cf it?
