MY question is If i Install Window Xp WIll it increase d performance ?????
Because 95% of my *** proccesor gets used while playing games like gta 4.
n after Buying 5770 I am out of money so pls dont suggest smoehing like that i know my PC SUx !!!

Solution
when playing games, what 7 does is switch your system to basic mode, which actually runs better than XP, I did a few tests and got better 3D mark '06 scores in 7...

stick to 7, there are so many benefits from the OS, and it looks better that XP, plus you have the benefits of direct x 10!

have you maybe considered overclocking your CPU a bit? I've heard that the e4500 can reach 3.0 - 3.3 Ghz with the right coolng

and don't say your pc sucks!! i've seen much much much worse that i had to contend to!!

just my thought

Windows 7 has DX11, TRIMM, and faster performance all around as well.

To top it off I think they stopped support for Windows XP, so that means no more updates (I could be wrong, but I know SP3 was is their last big support).

no helltech, you're right, support for XP has diminished over the past 6 months, and even buying XP has become a challenge!

and SP3 for XP is just as bad as what Vista was!! so don't even think about SP3!

pentium 3

256 mb Ram

with a fx 5200 AGP Graphics card

16 Gb Harddrive

and 250 W PSU

they came to me and asked me why they can't play Star Craft II, felt actually sorry for them!!

donated my old rig to them, so they can at least play it in low specs!!

cooler master comes out with a great V8 edition, and is a great value for money!! and will fit nicely on your 775 chipset!! yeah, you'll have to upgrade your bios, no hastle though, once thats done, then give it a shot

Ok. GTA IV DOES WORK BETTER ON XP, however If you just need it for GTA IV I'd recommend a dual boot solution, Thats what I was doing with my 955 and 9800GT, I'm now going to move on to a 68xx card so I won't have to do that anymore.

XP sp3 will be supported by MS through april 2014....i believe. http://news.softpedia.com/news/Windows-XP-SP3-And-So-It-Ends-88491.shtml sp2 support ended july 13 2010. As much as i believe that win xp is the best os microsoft made, I do have to bite the bullet and agree that win 7 is better for more than 90% of the games out, unless you are playing really old legacy games...say pre win xp, than xp is better for those.
