My 1st 3DMark06 score, 26,852

I posted this in the Overclocking forum because my rig is OC'd to 4.2GHz but I posted it here because I just put a PNY GTX 480 in my rig and love it.

Is this a pretty decent score?

its still a great score, i get round about 14050, but something deep down says that you should be getting more!! remember when components heat up in your system, they tend to down clock! especially your GPU and CPu, so question:

what is the temperatures of your rig when running 3D Mark? have you got temp gauges you can rely on like Rivatuner?

you should be getting at least 29000 to even 30 000! do you run the tests at default?

just my thought, but all in all, I wish i had that score!

I havn't run 3DMark06 in, forever. I have the same CPU, and SLI 260s are supposed to be around the performance of a 480 so I can tell you if yours is right.

I didn't change any of my settings, and they are all very high, I assumed the program would change them.

I guess I need to read the directions.

If you're talkin about 3DMark you are supposed to leave it at "default". Even leave it at 1280*1024.

Yeah sure, I can bench at like 4.4 so thats no big I can set it to 4.2.

My PC is actually at 4.2GHz.

22~ I didn't overclock my CPU though, I was feeling lazy, it shouldn't have that big of an affect plus I could compare just compare CPU results.

It did good enough to see if his GPU was where it was supposed to be, and it seems like it is.
