Motherboard drivers won't install

hello, got a crosshair V formula, OS is vista 64 and every time i try and install the drivers after waiting roughly half an hour it tells me it needs to restart. I'm a compliant person so restarted the comp. but and here's the kicker it wont shut down. it just stays on ''logging off'' i left it on for 3 hours last night and it still didn't change. any help is needed because its been one issue after another ever since i got it

Did you format your hdd and re-load windows after you installed your new motherboard?
