My Presario V3000 is dead

Hello,
I have a compaq presario V3000 laptop. 2 months ago it suddenly froze and when I tried to restart it did not. when I press the power button all the LED lights turn on but there is no display and HDD activity.
I took it to the HP service center and they told me that the Nvidia chip has blown up and needs to be replaced. Everything else is fione. I changed it an they gave me a 1 month guarantee on it.
During the month the same problem started occuring after every 10 days or so. During the guarantee period they used to fix it but now when the guarantee period is over and the same problem has occured once more, the are telling me that my motherboard is dead.
Any suggestions ?
