USB problems

so my usb ports on my computer are having a wierd problem where i cant have my mouse and keyboard plugged in at the same time. when i have them plugged in together the keyboard doesnt work at all and the mouse skips around alot. if i have only one plugged in it works just fine.

also i have a pci wireless adapter that doesnt work either due to this and my sound doesnt work at all either.

i had a similar problem with a usb network adapter and my usb mic, the only difference was it would make it so only a few select things could be plugged in

so, do you perhaps have a usb hub (a usb hub that plugs in with usb) because with the problem i had above it wouldnt kick out if 1 was plugged into my external hub
