How old are the rest of you jokers?

I turned 40 today. Now I fit my game name, SomeOldDude, even better. I
picked that name because I figured I was probably playing against a bunch of
18 year olds.

But a couple nights ago, I played against four or five other guys (Io,
Plush, operator, et. al), and they were all in their thirties.

So maybe I'm wrong...

How old are the rest of you jokers, anyway?

Thanks,
SomeOldDude

never had any toys when I was a kid. I usually play under a couple
of name, current being Zin, and mostly UT rather than 2003. I haven't
got 2004 yet. Waiting for the $10 price. hee hee.

Hmm...I had to put 40 candles on my birthday cake last year
on Halloween and they collapsed my cake as well as my lungs
when I had to blow them all out!. I will have to find a
place to fit 41 of them on my cake this Halloween!. I'm
a happy single player of UT but still a player none the less.
I do get online and frag it up sometimes though!. :-)

He probably has the money but many people I know in their 60's tend to be
tight-fisted when it comes to spending money. Maybe it's a generational
thing.

Sorry but I don't know if you're joking in your subject line or
serious. If you're joking then I miss the point and don't see the
joke but if you're serious then you seem to be the kind of person
that is insecure about the world around them (paranoia is the term
I think where everyone is out to get me). Do you have to look
over your shoulder every few seconds to make sure there is not
someone back there ready to stab you with a knife?. Do you have
to look out you're window to make sure the wolves are not at your
door yet before stepping out of your house?. A *yes* answer to
either of these two questions could indicate paranoia! and I'm
doing a survey for the American Society for Psychology and
Sociology for my own self interest!. Anyway what's wrong with a
corporation like Epic getting a little free info that can be
considered politically incorrect? It could also help them to make
better games! ;-) I don't think SOD is an employee of Epic but I
guess I could be paranoid and believe he is from Epic. I could
also be wrong and SOD could actually be the Chairman of Epic
though, but I'm not going to sit around thinking that I'm the only
soul on this earth that is supposed to make money while at the
same time looking for ways to cut everyone else's sources of
revenue off ( this is called greed and is the root of all evil)!.
So what if SOD *was* the Chairman of Epic? I wish Epic *would*
browse these groups in search of info and creative ideas!.

Just my thimble full. :-)

Then they would be daft wouldn't they.
I would never believe a survey response from on online source (even though
media loves to quote them, and phone polls). I'm sure there are plenty of
other ways to get the same info at little or no cost.

Well, I'm 39. Our clan, Co30 (Crusties Over 30) is filled with ol' folks
like us. We admittedly do have a few "YOUTS" but it's a fun bunch. We
started out in ol' school Unreal when the game came out, hosted the Playland
server in the hey-day of Unreal gaming, and have grown (old) with the
evolution of the game and it's offspring. Some of our crew still enjoy a
little Unreal Multi now and then.

My take on kids (that'd be 8 to 18)? They're way into console gaming, from
what I can see.

Yeah, Usenet is such a goldmine of demographic goodness.

HeHeee! LOL :-) I didn't know this but it seemed to me that
boogers, the person I was replying to thought so.

Nah! you're not old! If you're old than so am I!. I just turned
40 on October 31 of last year so I'm a few months older than you are.
I don't feel old. Do you? ;-)

Maybe you should change your name to SYD Some Young Dude!. :-) I
have actually considered the name SMACD or Some Middle Aged Crisis
Dude for myself when I saw your name the first time. :-) LOL
