I have a netbook but it ain't gonna perform satisfyingly in CPU-power-hungry applications, especially Flash and Java games like Runescape and Facebook games. So i'm considering a desktop. The specs are these:
Intel Pentium Dual-Core G6950 [3MB Cache, 2.8GHz, 2.5GT/s]
Kingston VRAM DDR2 2GB 1066MHz
WD 500GB SATA2 7,200rpm
Asus MS202D 20"
Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit
Creative X-Fi Titanium 64MB
LiteOn DVD 24x
Gigabyte G41
CM GX 550W
2x CM Neon case fan 3,000rpm
CM Geminii S 2,200rpm
CM Blue Ice Pro 4,500rpm
Artic RC RAM fan 2,000rpm
Which GPU should i choose?
A GT220 1GB DDR3 or a GTS250 1GB GDDR3? And will there be any bottleneckings?

That would be a huge step up from a netbook in terms or performance.
However that G41 motherboard and socket 775 G6950 CPU are getting a bit dated.
Any options with Core i3 or Core i5 CPUs?
A GT220 is an entry level video card and should be adequate for the games you list.
For a gaming computer the GT 220 would be the bottleneck in performance, followed by the 2GB RAM.
Does that G41 motherboard have 4 RAM slots? or just 2?

that G41 mainboard has yet to be confirmed, but i'm planning to switch it to an Asus board with PCI-E x16 2.1 and DDR3 slots. Besides, I have Left 4 Dead 2 and Need For Speed Most Wanted in mind. I wouldn't go for the i processors yet. Anything to suggest?

Here is where the GT 220 falls in performance for Left 4 Dead.
You'll want to consider the HD 5750 or HD 5770 along with the GTS 250
