So I have bought a intel 520 240gb ssd for my t430 (i7 3612qm) and I am not quite sure if it is performing as it should. I did a fresh install of windows because when I tried to do system image then change alignment it still was incorrect. So after downloading as ssd , my alignment was good and ahci was good as well. However in crystalmark my stats are such:

Is this average results for this ssd? Is there something else I need to do to get the performance up?

Also, I updated firmware with intel sandbox and used that tool's tuning features.

Thanks in advance,
Shaun

Yes, your results appear average. Here's a link to a review site with similar CrystalDiskMark results: http://www.storagereview.com/intel_ssd_520_review

The Intel 520 uses a SandForce controller, so I believe you need to benchmark with ATTO to get the advertised 550/520 Read/Write speeds.

Hello guys!

I also have an Intel 520 Series, 120 GB, but my SSD's benchmark test results are lower then Shaun's. Is it because I have a lower processor? ( i5, ivy bridge 3210M)

Thanks!

And, should I make only 1 parition? I have 2 partition, C and D.
Also my Windows 7 experience index is quite low at primary disk (5.9). Why is that? In the first month when I used the SSD, the score was 7.9

Please tell me if my SSD is fine :D . The booting process it takes more then 17 seconds, and thw windows7 experience index is making me worry.

Your ATTO benchmark indicates that your drive is getting slightly above maximum advertised Read/Write speeds; so your drive is fine.

Don't know what to tell you about WEI. Try to reset it and run it again and see if that works.
