Hello,
I have a Windows XP Desktop that connects to my home network through wireless. We recently changed the network name and put a password on the network. Before the network didn't have a password and the desktop connected just fine. Now that a password has been added it won't connect. The network just continues to say "Limited or no connectivity". When I do ipconfig I get a reply back that says my ip address is 169.254.x.x and my subnet mask is 255.255.0.0. When I try to repair the connection it states that the ip address cannot be renewed. Any ideas???

That "Limited or no" message normally implies the wrong security key was used. Delete the connection completely and add it all in again, using the facility to "Display characters" so you can see what you're typing into the security key box rather than just asterisks.[/#000ff]
