i am about to build me a gaming rig. which would be the best cpu to go with, an amd 3.20gig 6 core or a 3.40gig quad core? i don't want to have to upgrade my cpu again for quite some time. specs so far are,

ASUS M4A78T-E crossfire-x ready mobo
6gig 1600mhz ddr3
coolit systems eco-r cpu cooler
duel radeon HD5770
750 watt psu
duel 500gig hdd
windows 7 64bit

Personally I would go with 6 core or switch to a Sandy Bridge build.
With AMD you don't use triple channel memory so 4 or 8 gb kits are the way to go.

The 6 core is the preferred choice
but maybe a slightly better motherboard would be better? why don'y you look at the ASUS M4A797 deluxe?
