i am building a new gaming rig and i simply want to if a hard drive can slow down a system.

Here is my stand point on the situation: once i have the data loaded the speed of the hard drive should NOT matter. right? all a 10k, 15k, and ssd do is access the data faster. right? so why waste money on an ssd when i can get the same long term game play with 7.2k drive.

unless a hard drive can bottleneck, am i right?

If your not planning to crossfire in the future you can save $40ish or 50 on the mobo. If you dont plan on oc your cpu either you can save $30 + shipping on the cooler.

I made the build with a p55 board, but if your set on amd maybe someone can come and suggest a good mobo for you cause i dont know my amd mobo's that well. I think you'll be better off with the 955 too because you can just overclock it to the specs of the cpu you had in your post.

I just saw you post about the case, and i think the case is kind of a personal choice. Just make sure it has adequate air circulation, and check the reviews on newegg. You should be able to fit it in your budget even though and it look good!
