Hello,
My old SATA drive (WD 1200JD) started to fail so I replaced it with an SSD - so far so good. However some of the data did not transfer properly and I need to connect the drive (which is just about still working) to my PC.
I have an adapter that means I can plug this SATA drive in as a USB drive; however when I do that the drive tries to boot and causes problems. How can I set this drive to be a slave (there does not seem to be a way according to the WD site) or how can I connect it without it booting?
