Can I have triple and dual channel at the same time?

I have a 6slot EVGA x58. And I just bought a 3x4 gb 1600.
Can I use a dual channel 2x4 1333 on the remaining slots?

Not entirely sure but I think your chipset (x58) can only handle triple channel or no channel.
So you 3x4GB 1600 will run in triple channel (as long as you put them in the right slots).
But the 2x4GB 1333 will each run individually. Not in a channel.

Just repeating, I am not sure on this.

Nope..the specifications state dual and triple. Read and searched as much as possible but found no answers if it will cause any problems/instabilities

X58 seems to be more versatile than I thought.

Can someone please advise? I might still be able to ask amazon to take back the order before they ship it to me.. But another triple channel cost twice more then the dual
