HELLO !

Im looking for a way to cheap and effectively upgrade my PC without running in budgets, simply, more fraps for less money will be perfect =D

Current system:

CPU: Core 2 Duo e7400 2.88 @ 3.00Ghz
GPU: Nvidea 9800+ Black edition
PSU:700W Arctic Power
RAM: 2gb Kingston
MOBO: P5QLE Asus

My upgrade options are limited, i understand, im just looking for some good old ideas ! Such as, changing to a Quad core and maybe SLI GTX 9800 ?

If your motherboard has a PCI-e x 16 slot, getting a HD 5830 or even a 5770 if you are content with mid-high settings should be enough. HD 5770 cards are very inexpensive these days. And so are 5830 intro card.

If you can sell the processor and RAM, well and good. In replacement, add 4 GB OCZ gold RAM, and i5 quad core processor (entry level is good).

All should fit under 400

Do you have any idea in the performance boosts i would see if i was to go for a mediocre spec quad and sli 9800 ?

Going SLI would mean a new motherboard (as I don't think yours does SLI) and in that case you may as well go with a new CPU and RAM too. You could instead go with a GTX 460 and a good tower cooler to overclock your CPU more. You could also get a quad core for your board and overclock it, but it's getting past the point where spending alot of money on an LGA 775 quad makes sense. Up to you though.
