I have 500 dollars to build a computer with... it will be used for searching the web, a little bit of video editing with sony vegas, and watcing dvd's on. I dont want a video card atm with black friday and christmas coming up and 4gb of ram should be good for now (as far as i know). Id prefer to get most of the stuff off neweeg since they seem to have fairly good prices and good combo deals, but im fine with ordering from other places like tigerdirect and amazon. Also i dont need a monitor, keyboard, ect....
Thanks

thanks for the responses everyone... i found this kit/combo on newegg and want to know what you guys think about it or if i should spend the extra money with the things you offered me. the processor seems to be easily made into a quad core with the board. Just was wondering how upgradeable that would be if i were to add a graphics card and more ram later also another question that will prob make me look like a dumbass :p what is the difference between ddr2 and ddr3 ram and does it effect anyting really. The combo can be found here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.513231&Tpk=Phenom%20II%20x2%2f785G%2f4GB%2f1TB%20Upgrade%20Kit

For your use you are better of with a quad like in the combo I linked to http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.513430&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-RSSDailyDeals-_-na-_-na&AID=10521304&PID=3463938&SID=
DDR3 is a newer faster ram technology than the DDR2 in real world not noticeable but measurable.

i liked that combo alot but it seems like that mother board is a hit or miss only 3 out of 5 stars and with this being my first build prob wont be the best at troubleshooting :s

LOL! I just read the reviews on newegg and confirmed why I do not trust them, out of the 5 one egg reviews 1 is substantiated.

As new computer you really should get a 3 or core CPU especially if you plan to video edit
