I am looking at an Intel RS2WC080 SAS SATA RAID card which is a rebranded LSI2008 sas card. The LSI version states that it supports SATA 3 6 gb/s drives. The Intel version states SAS 6gb/s but SATA 3 gb/s. Does anyone know if it is possible to run SATA 3 6 gb/s speeds on the Intel card using a sas/sata 6 gb/s cable? The Intel website for this card is not as current as the LSI so I thought the data on the Intel site may state SATAII only due to the age of the documentation. Any help would be great. Thanks In Advance.
