9800GTX+ vs 5770 vapor X

Hi, i got a 9800GTX+ which is giving me problems when i get shinny things to be displayed drivers starts jumping and i get artifacts, so i am trying to get another card i saw a 5770 Vapor X which i am getting it for 140 US, so i am concern if it will perform better than my actual card?
