im planing on spending about 500-600 on a gpu and case

im thinking that haf 932 and the gtx 470

unless the case i have now would prove sufficient to cool these components any other recommendations ?

personal thoughts on gtx 470>?

and haf 932?

1) I would get the HAF 922 over the HAF 932. It has similar performance, size & cable management at a lesser price.

2) I would hold off on your GPU purchase, as the ATI 6000 series is to be released very soon & soon to follow the Nvidia GTX 580 (what the GTX 480 was meant to be with all CUDA enabled). This will 1) provide better performance & 2) drive cost down on current cards. Also, I recommend the EVGA GTX 460 SC EE over a GTX 470. They are close in performance at a lower cost with better power & heat consumption.

EVGA GTX 460 SC EE is 250$ AT NEWEGG while the gtx 470 is 280 so im leaning towards this..

If you haven't purchased the PSU, I would look to drop it down to a 650w or 550w (specially with a GTX 460) power supply. You are running a single card motherboard so you won't need more than a 650w PSU.

Also, you can look at the Athlon II X3 450 over the Phenom II X3 720, if not already own... http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/189?vs=83
