I tried overclocking my Phenom II X6 1090T and I may have pushed it too far. Please tell me if there is a specific app to check for damage to a cpu. I know that Prime95 can check this for overclockers, but I am wondering if there is another app that would tell me if there is damage.

well there no true app that im aware of that can tell you if your cpu is damaged or not. all you can do is use apps like prime 95 and the intel burn test app to see if there any errors or not....

If there errors with both programs, then you need to underclock the cpu to stock speeds. If there still errors even at stock speeds then that in my option is a good sign of damaged cpu. :(
