So this is for my mom and she has a $300 budget. I'm sure all she'll be using it for is checking emails, surfing the web and maybe some word processing. I've shopped around newegg and i kinda have a plan for it already, can anyone give me advice or other suggestions?

CPU:

Totat: $264.74 - $12 MIR (no tax, no shipping =p)

I think I have a working hard drive with windows xp that i can salvage from an old computer and was planning on just running onboard graphics since she wont be doing gaming other MAYBE flash games.

Any other suggestions? Thanks

Other than that, here's where I'd spend a couple of more dollars:

$5 off w/ promo code EMCZYZR24, ends 10/20
Antec EarthWatts Green EA-430D Green 430W Continuous power ATX12V v2.3 / EPS 12V 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

$39.99 after coupon and rebate

And get a little more bang for the buck ($3 more) and get the same motherboard as part of a combo:

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 785G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
AMD Athlon II X2 260 Regor 3.2GHz Socket AM3 65W Dual-Core Desktop Processor ADX260OCGMBOX

$120.98
