Ok so i have been researching alot about making a custom built pc, and looking at some of the goals I wish to accomplish this seems the best setup to me. I have gone through two revised drafts of the specs and components and below is my final compiled list. I have taken into account the power, size of motherboard and components and effective speeds (e.g i7 860 basically same as 870 however 0.2ghz slower and £40 cheaper which could be overclocked anyway. Another example is ram and effective speed. Only need 4gb and 1600mhz is fine)

Quote:

TOTAL = £800 (Effective cost to me = 800-300 -100 -40 + 90 = £450)

As you should already know, the total cost of the build is £800, which isnt all that bad. The cost to me however is considerably lower (Money coming in). I would appreciate some responses on how decent this setup is. For example is able to run and compete with all the modern games available e.g crysis at fairly high setting (Take into account I hope to overclock the cpu to around 3.2hz -3.4ghz. Please also advise me on changes i could make to reduce costs and whether components are worth the cost.

In the future i hope to upgrade the graphics card to a radeon hd 5780, but at the moment seems a little overkill.

Sorry about any spelling/grammar mistakes, im in a rush. thanks in advance, CR1ZB3Y. :D
