Frequent no display and memory module refixing

Forum Motherboards & Memory : Asus Frequent no display and memory module refixing

Hello,

I am maintaining some 100+ PCs in an office and the PCs are 2years old. Majority of the PCs give no display on Monday morning and memory module refixing solves the issue. Again next week the same issue. Anybody can suggest permanent solution to this? (not replacing the motherboard or PC)

only thing i can think of is have them keep the AC on during the weekend too. its probably a temperature fluctuation causing it. expanding and contracting of the ram and socket.

Yes, it is a possibility. My customer may not agree to running AC in the week end.
Somebody suggested cleaning with isopropyl alcohol and I tried this already. Does not help much and weekly I am facing the same issue almost 50 to 60% machines.
Any further suggestion? Is there a better way to clean? or is there a way to rejuvenate the contacts?

you can buy an electrical cleaner. a lot of home depots have it on the same isle as light switches. they also sell one that is more for larger stuff (like 3/0 wire) that will melt the pcb so dont use that one. it will say right on it that its for electronics. ive fixed whole computers after a fire by spraying a can of that on it. also got rid of most of the smell. dunking the case(alone of course) in a citris cleaner for a few hours got rid of the rest of the smell.
