Do I have a dead motherboard

Hi there,
I have been using a mercury motherboard with p4 processor for 5 years. Suddenly one day I was not able to seen anything on the monitor as its going to idle mode. I can see my processor fan running, startup light on Motherboard, harddisk spinning. Recently I bought a new RAM to see if its a RAM problem but then also the same condition. I tried using POST debug card where it displayed 0000 which I believe is an initiative code which means nothing but motherboard is not working. Please anybody help me out in this issue.

  1. Have you tried replacing the CMOS battery on the motherboard? When it dies, you can no longer run the BIOS startup pgm.
