White lines after new back light

I replaced the back light and inverter on my inspiron 6000. The laptop boots up but the lower 3" of the screen is white with vertical color lines and can't see the task bar. Any ideas what went wrong with when I replaced the back light?

Hello, and welcome to THG.

Sounds like you installed it incorrectly or that it is not compatible in a way. I would try to look at it and see if you did anything internally that may have damaged the monitor to the laptop.
