To which PCIe slot shall I install my card ?

Hello,
I have a ATI 5850 card and a Asus P7P55D Motherboard with 3 PCIe slots described in the manual as follows

PCIe 2.0 x16_1 (single at x16, dual at x8 link)
PCIe 2.0 x16_2 ( at x8 link)
PCIe 2.0 x16_3 ( at x4 link, 3GT)

Currently I have my card in the 2nd slot. Shall I move it to the 1st one ?

I would, but thats just me. I know on my Rampage II if I put it in the second slot in single mode it runs at x8, while that isn't a big difference, its a small difference and I'm an ethusiast.

Well, installing on 2nd slot(x8) is okay, you wouldn't lose much speed on that slot, but i still recommend to move that card on the 1st slot, it will give you full performance...
