Hi guys.

So as the title says, disregarding USB 3.0, SATA 6Gb/s, is there
any REAL-WORLD performance difference between a P55 and H55
board?

Say....

GIGABYTE GA-H55M-S2H INTEL H55 / GLAN / DDR3

vs

ASUS P7P55D-E LX /P55/PCI-E/GLAN/8CH

I am asking because the P55 is much more expensive and I don't
really need additional DIMMS or more expansion slots, etc.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT:

I will be using an i5 760, a single 5770, and 2x2gb Kingston RAM.

Basically the main difference is that most P55 boards have x8/x8 crossfire whereas H55 has x16/x4. The x4 will bottleneck a HD5770 so if your looking to crossfire you should look towards P55. Though if you aren't or you think you might have a small chance of CFing then get the H55.

Also most P55 board have a few more features. Like onboard RAID. Also if your into high end OCing the P55 would be best. Though a H55 would be good enough for any 24/7 air cooled OC.

Hope that helps.
