New gaming pc 2000$

I want to build the best gaming pc I can for around 2000$ give or take.
here is the list of parts Ive come up with so far.
the prices are from amazon but naturally i will look for better prices elsewhere.

  1. Your build is lopsided on a few items. It also has overly expensive items like the DVD-RW and it has items that arent needed like the Sound Card.

    Also at $2000 I'd have an SSD boot drive at least.

  3. ^ Yup, actually you wont need 2K for a very good gaming build,...
    The above build comes to ~$1400, so you can actually add 1 more GTX 470 in SLI too without going over budget...
