Hello, I have the Dell 8400 with these specs

P4 Prescott 2m 3.0 HT 2MB L2

2 GB Corsair pc6400 800mhz 2.1v 4-4-4-12

Seagate ST3160023AS 150 GB HD

OKIA 550 watt PSU

INTEL i925XE Chipset

BIOS Phoenix A09

PCI Express 1.0 x1

ATI x300 128MB POS!!!

NOTE: I will have Windows 7 64 bit and 2 more GB of the same Ram by the end of the week. I hope anyway, as I have not ever installed a OS before, but others have done it on this comp.

My Question is what is the best card I can possibly put in this?
I would like dx11 support and I like Nvida over ATI (Physx).

I know about bottle-necking by the cpu blah blah blah.

I also know about building your own instead buying a dell and "just buy a new comp" blah blah blah.

I don't want to spend over 200.00, and much less if possible. I like this card but it is 200.

I know I will not max it out on this comp but when I do build a comp I was thinking I could recycle the card for a dedicated PhysX card?

This is the first time I ever posted here woot!

Thanks man. I don't have the cash for a new proc right now though. I am ebaying my Shaphire HD 8050 AGP and 2.8ghz proc out of my old comp right now to help get this card, so a new anything but card is not a option right now. But, thank you anyway, a while back I did look into maybe putting a Pentium D in it, but I don't think it was the right socket.

Thanks, it is a LGA 775 that's all I know about it. Do you know of a decent graphic card that the processor can still handle?

Quote:
stay with ATI in your case, my opinion.
ATI 4800's or 5600's series.
check them out.

Thanks will do, I appreciate your help with this.
