Powercolor hd 4770 troubleshoot

Thanks for the reply.
I already tried changing from DVI to RGB. With DVI cable I am allowed max 1280x1024 resolution. When using the RGB cable I can go to 1360x1024.
Also tried using the boxed monitor driver but it is a 32 bit version - still no effect.
I would be grateful for more tips

Thanks for the advice punnar! I did what you said. I uninstalled CCC, graphic card driver and monitor driver then suddenly I could up the resolution to 1600x1200.

Windows 7 however installed automatically a graphic card driver and prompted me to reboot. And I was back to 1280x1024 maximum.

Then I re-installed drivers and CCC but back to the same.

What should I do?

I'm using that driver on w7 64 bit for a 4870 but have no issues. Windows did install the drivers automatically for the card but it works with CCC 10.8 at 1920x1080.

Try uninstalling everything again, let windows load it's drivers, reboot then see what kind of resolution you get without installing CCC.

Unfortunately I tried this already. I dont think its a graphic card problem.
I installed an older graphic card and the problem persists.
I am now convinced that it's not the graphics its the monitor (Syncmaster T220).
My only conclusion is that W7 64bit cant detect T220 correctly.
I will try to contact Samsung.
And I will buy a new monitor tomorrow.
