I'm building a rig right now to use for 2D Rendering (AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator) 3D Rendering (SketchUp, 3DS Max, Thea Render), and some gaming (Civ 5, Battlefield).

The components I have already are:

Intel i7-940 2.93Ghz

Pioneer DVD/CD burner DVR-A18M

GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R

OCZ 6G RAM OCZ3G1600LV6GK R

Up next is:

ThermalTake Element V Case -VL200K1W2Z http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133178

WD Caviar Black 1TB 6Gb/s HDD WD1002FAEX http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136533

Corsair Gamer Series 800W Power Supply http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Corsair+-+Gaming+Series+800-Watt+ATX+CPU+Power+Supply/1073715.p?id=1218217267478&skuId=1073715

GeForce 470 Graphics card

I have to decide which one of the 470 cards to go with (What differences will I see between an Asus, a Gigabyte, and a PNY card if none are overclocked or anything?).

The future plans for the rig are to add a small solid-state boot drive, and add a second 470 card in SLI, and up my RAM. Is there anything I'm picking that I'm an idiot for? Or anything I am missing (other than things like thermal paste)?

This is my first build, and I want to make sure it goes well.

Thanks!
