Is there a bottleneck detection software?

Hello,

Assume I have a PC and 2 software programs x and y, one using a lot of memory, and the other a lot of CPU resources [or HD, etc]. Now I start running one of these programs. Here is my question:

Is there a software that allows me to see where the bootleneck lies for that program in this PC? (RAM amount, RAM speed, Bus speed) so; that I can add resources or make my next system to work well with those software?

Not that I know of.

You best bet would be to watch your system resources through Windows, as you run the program, to see how much memory or CPU resources it is taking. This more on a one program at a time thing versus two or more at once.
