How is everybody. I was wondering weather somebody can help me with
posting pictures with the ones that I've taken from my 3 megapixel
camera. The pictures are in Jpg format but everytime I try to post it
to some site, I keep on getting this error message that says the
picture needs to be in JPG, GIF or some other format or the picture has
to be less than 100,000 bits or something. The pictures are already in
JPG format but I don't quite know how to decrease the bits. Am I doing
something wrong or is there something wrong with the camera? I can post
it to one site without a problem but not to others.

You will need to resize them smaller. If you haven't any software,
http://www.irfanview.com is free.

That 100,000 bite size is the issue. How big are your files? Chances
are you are going to need to reduce the size of the original image before
you will be allowed to post it. There are a number of good reasons why
there are these limits.
You will need some sort of software to reduce the size of the original
images (that is to make a copy of the original that has a smaller size).
The software that came with your camera and or Windows and or third party
graphic software should be able to handle that for you.

If you don't have the software to make the file size smaller, if you have
windows xp email the file to yourself, when the option comes up "do you want
to make the file size small" check yes. Mail it to yourself. See if the
new picture has a better file size.

Somewhere along the line I had a right click option to resize in Windows
Explorer. Since a lot of changes including a reformat, it has disappeared.
That was with Windows XP. I wonder if some other program added it or if it
is an option in XP that can be turned on. Anyone know?

Cancel that request. I went looking for it and something triggered my
memory. It was part of the Microsoft Powertoys for XP. I even had it
already downloaded, all I had to do was install it.
