Dell GX 280 wont accept new graphics card

Hello,
My Dell GX 280 runs on win 7 ultimate very easily win 7When I install a 128mb 64 ATI PowerColour 9250, the monitor remains blank. The processor fan kicks in and is very noisy but the monitor shows only the orange light that shows when it is plugged onto power but the data cable is unplugged from motherboard. What can I do

You might have to go to bios to either disable the onboard video or to set the PCI/PCIE/AGP video card as the primary.
