Dual Channel with 4 RAM sticks

Hello

I have a question
since the i5-2500 did not support the triple channel as I expected -.-

I decided to agree with dual channel -.-

my question is

if I have a MoBo with 4 RAM slots and supports Dual Channel and 4 identical memory sticks 4*4GB

will each 2 run in dual channel mode or i must only use 2 sticks total ?

Each set of 2 should run in dual channel mode
